Question types in Jawabaksa7 explained

A Jawabaksa7 round is not an hour of multiple choice. Each library topic can mix types so players do not repeat the same motion. The five types on the platform are true/false, multiple choice, fill in the blank, order the list, and a short written answer. This page is for the host: when each type fits a crowd, how to read it aloud without leaking the answer, and what changes in a classroom or with children.

Do not lecture all five types at the start of the night. Explain a type in one sentence when it appears. A long briefing before question one kills energy. If you want to prepare, read this page before guests, not in front of them.

True / false

A claim judged after a short setup. Timing is shorter because the decision is binary. Good as a warm-up, with kids, and to open an office night. Avoid twisty “unless” sentences and double negatives; ambiguity becomes a grammar fight. Read the full sentence, then start the timer. Do not raise an eyebrow on the false claim.

In class, use true/false to pin a fact from the lesson, then after the reveal ask which sentence in the book supports it. At home, if adults argue about formal Arabic wording, repeat the meaning in dialect without changing the ruling.

Multiple choice

Four options, one correct. Read the stem, then the options slowly with letters or numbers. On a TV the team can point and the host taps. Do not voice the correct option slower or louder—that is the easiest leak. If the room cannot read the screen, finish every option aloud.

For bilingual groups, watch for options that hinge on one translated word only one team will catch. See the bilingual guide.

Fill in the blank

A sentence with a missing span. The answer is a word or short phrase. On phones the in-game keyboard helps with Arabic. Before the round: does close spelling count? is vocalization required? do “Riyadh” and “the city of Riyadh” both count? Changing the standard mid-game breaks trust. Details: fair play.

Order the list

Four items in time or cause order. This type slows the room on purpose. For beginners or children, give about ten seconds of talk before the timer if you announced it. Do not hint the sequence in the stem (“oldest to newest” plus a list that already looks numbered). In class, tie the order to a timeline you taught, not a random decade.

Short written answer

The team types a phrase. Marking may need a host confirm because wording varies. Agree on city names, numerals, Arabic versus English. If you reject a close answer, explain why calmly. This type turns into a spelling test on a family night if you are strict; with kids, accept meaning most of the time.

Mixing types in one night

Open with true/false then multiple choice so everyone enters. Put a blank or an order-list in the middle to break the pattern. Finish with a short answer if energy remains, or skip it if children are tired. Pack choice affects how dense the types feel; see picking topics and how to play.

What the host actually does: first-host checklist. TV or share setup: devices.

A sample 60-minute mix

Minutes 1–10: true/false from a general-knowledge pack so everyone learns the screen. 10–25: multiple choice from a film or series the room knows. 25–35: tea break. 35–50: one order-list or blank to break the pattern—do not stack three order-lists. 50–60: one short answer if energy remains, or close on the scoreboard without a new type if children are tired. If the slot is shorter, drop topics using picking topics.

Do not mix a type lecture with a phone-rule argument in the same minute. Explain the type when it appears, and social rules before question one as in fair play.
