المجموعات المختلطة اللغة—عائلات بين جيلين، زملاء في شركة، أو أصدقاء في المهجر—تفشل ليلة الأسئلة فيها عندما تُعامل اللغة كاختبار إقصاء. شخص يفهم السؤال في ثانية وآخر يترجم في رأسه حتى ينتهي الوقت. جوابك صح تعطي واجهة عربية أو إنجليزية للمنظّم، بينما لغة نص السؤال تتبع الحزمة وإعداد الجولة. هذه الصفحة تشرح كيف تفصلون «لغة القوائم» عن «لغة السؤال»، وكيف تبنون فرقاً لا يفوز فيها من يتحدث بطلاقة فقط.
قولوا من البداية: هل الليلة عربية فقط، إنجليزية فقط، أم مختلطة حزمة بحزمة؟ المفاجأة أسوأ من الصعوبة. إذا كانت الأسئلة بالعربية الفصحى، نبّهوا من اعتاد العامية فقط. إذا كانت بالإنجليزية، لا تفترضوا أن من يعمل بالإنجليزية يقرأ أسماء الأعلام الأجنبية بالسرعة نفسها.
أزرار «العربية» و«English» في أعلى الموقع تغيّر القوائم والتعليمات واتجاه الصفحة (من اليمين لليسار أو العكس). هذا مفيد للمقدّم الذي يريد أن يرى الأزرار بلغته. نص السؤال نفسه قد يبقى بالعربية داخل حزمة عربية حتى لو كانت الواجهة إنجليزية. اشرحوا ذلك للضيوف حتى لا يظنوا أن زر اللغة يترجم كل بطاقة فوراً.

عندما تخلطون الحزم، لا تضعوا كل ثنائيي اللغة في فريق وكل أحاديي اللغة في فريق آخر. الهدف أن يجد كل فريق شخصاً يساعد في القراءة لا أن يتحول الأمر إلى مباراة ترجمة. اسمحوا بترجمة شفهية قصيرة داخل الفريق إن وافقت قواعدكم—خمس ثوانٍ همس ليست غشاً إذا أعلنتموها. امنعوا الترجمة إن كان هدف الليلة تمرين لغة في صف.
اقرأوا السؤال باللغة المكتوبة على الشاشة ثم—إن لزم—جملة توضيح باللهجة أو بالإنجليزية دون أن تكشفوا الإجابة. لا تغيّروا نبرة الخيار الصحيح. للخيارات الأربعة اقرأوا الأرقام أو الحروف ببطء. في صح وخطأ تجنبوا الجمل المبنية على لعب لغوي يفهمه فريق دون آخر؛ الغموض النحوي ليس عدلاً بين اللغات. شرح الأنواع في أنواع الأسئلة.

الأطفال غالباً أسرع في لغة المدرسة وأبطأ في لغة البيت أو العكس. اجعلوا فريقاً مختلط الأعمار لا «الكبار بالإنجليزية والصغار بالعربية» إلا إذا كان هذا درس لغة معلناً. راجعوا التريفيا العائلية والصف.

Mixed-language groups—two-generation families, office colleagues, diaspora friends—lose the night when language becomes an exclusion test. One person parses the stem in a second; another is still translating when the timer ends. Jawabaksa7 gives the host Arabic or English chrome, while question text follows the pack and the session setting. This page separates “menu language” from “question language,” and shows how to build teams that are not won only by the most fluent speaker.
Say at the start whether the night is Arabic-only, English-only, or mixed pack by pack. Surprise is worse than difficulty. If questions are in Modern Standard Arabic, warn guests who only use dialect at home. If questions are in English, do not assume that someone who works in English reads foreign proper names at the same speed.
The العربية and English controls in the header change menus, instructions, and page direction (right-to-left or left-to-right). That helps a host who wants buttons in their language. The stem inside an Arabic pack may stay Arabic even if the chrome is English. Tell guests so they do not expect the language toggle to translate every card instantly.

When you mix packs, do not seat every bilingual guest on one team and every monolingual guest on the other. Each team should have someone who can help read, not a translation match. Allow a short whispered translation inside the team if your house rules say so—five seconds is not cheating if you announced it. Ban translation if the night is a language drill in class.
Read the stem in the language on screen, then—if needed—one clarifying sentence in dialect or English without leaking the answer. Do not change your tone on the correct option. For four choices, read letters or numbers slowly. For true/false, avoid grammar tricks that only one language group will catch; a syntax trap is not fair across languages. Screen-share the game on Zoom, Meet, or Teams. People in the room hear the speakers; people on the call may hear audio late. Read, then wait a second before the timer. Guests answer aloud or on paper; the host enters the result. Technical detail: remote trivia and hosting a trivia night.
Children are often faster in the school language and slower in the home language, or the reverse. Use mixed-age teams rather than “adults in English, kids in Arabic” unless that is an announced language lesson. See family quiz and classroom tips.
